The publication is otherwise in good condition and it’s unused. Translation technique was a natural choice for the topic of the IOSCS congress held in Helsinki in July 1999 in connection with the SBL International Meeting. Helsinki is well known to Septuagint scholars for the pioneering work on translation technique undertaken by Professor Ilmari Soisalon-Soininen and his students. His "school" has utilized, developed and modified the method. The congress provided a suitable forum for international evaluation of the method and the results achieved to date. The collection contains most of the proceedings of the congress, authored by Albert Pietersma, Takamitsu Muraoka, Raija Sollamo, Staffan Olofsson, Johann Cook, Jan de Waard, Kristin De Troyer, Frank Austermann, Paul Danove, Trevor V. Evans, Evangelia G. Dafni, Bénédicte Lemmelijn, P. D. M. Turner, and Cornelis G. den Hertog.
