Cloning, Selection and Values

Bioethics deals with scientific and medical practices that make people uneasy. Philosophical bioethics studies the conceptual dimensions of these questions. In this collection of essays, the author studies the views and notions that form the basis of emotional, social, and legal responses to cloning, genetic selection, and other topical advances in biomedical sciences and health care provision. Particular attention is given to the idea of autonomy, dignity, precaution, and solidarity.
