This book deals with Christian-Muslim relations in France from the point of view of the French Roman Catholic Church. The history of Christian-Muslim relations shows that the more scripture these two traditions share, the more difficult the issues become. Difficult questions such as whether Christians and Muslims have the same God, what is the position of Jesus in Islam, what is the role of the Church in God's plan of salvation and whether Islam is a "way of salvation" have been pertinent, and they have had to be confronted theologically.
