Nature Calendar 2026

Threatened species are those at the risk of extinction and disappearing forever. The reasons are many, but the main one is the loss of suitable habitats. Humans are changing nature so quickly that other organisms cannot keep up.

There are many cute and familiar threatened species, but even a larger number of small, unknown, and yet in their own way beautiful and purposeful species.

The calendar's twelve months only have space for a few introductions of our 2,667 threatened species. However, they illustrate different aspects of endangerment and also bring hope, as conservation efforts have also succeeded in saving species.

The impressive images take centre stage in the calendar spreads, but the texts also feature more modest creatures, not forgetting the means of species protection.
