European Union Citizenship in Focus

The research examines all EC provisions and case law relevant to a full understanding of the concept of European citizenship. Part I describes generally the notion and use of citizenship in national and international law while Part II focuses on defining Union citizenship. Part III traces the rights of Union citizens from the free movement of persons to social, civil and political rights. Part III concludes by a brief study of Union's citizens' duties. Part IV finally propose alternative developments for Union citizenship.
