Commercial Disputes and Their Resolution in the People´s Republic of China

This study examines the resolution and prevention of foreign-related disputes under the law of People´s Republic of China. While common understanding regards negotiation and mediation as typically Chinese dispute resolution methods, arbitration and litigation have become increasingly important in the PRC. How do foreign investors manage dispute situations in the PRC? What dispute resolution methods does the PRC legislation provide for foreign business? How do these work in practice? What measures should be taken to prevent disputes from occurring?
