In this volume the Luther-Agricola-Society publishes articles Eero Huovinen has written in his university years and as bishop of Helsinki. The theology of Martin Luther, particularly on baptism, has inspired Huovinen since the late 1970s. Unity between the Churches and among Christians has remained close to his heart from his years as a student in the early 1960s. St Augustine’s thought, crede ut intelligas, has guided Huovinen’s theological deliberations thus far.
