RAFF-meeting in STUK, Helsinki, May 28-29, 1998. The RAFF project aims at refining the description of the chemistry and physics involved in the emission, transformation, transport, deposition and mobilisation of fission products released in a severe nuclear accident. Special emphasise is put on the appearance and characteristics of nuclear fuel particles and their behaviour in the environment. The papers presented in the general part of the meeting are published here.
