The essays in this volume offer a range of new perspectives on Charles Taylor´s philosophy. Part one comprises of three chapters that address key meta-philosophical themes arising from Taylor's work: the role of transcendental arguments, the critique of representationalism, and the dialectiscs of Enlightenment. The essays in part two critically examine Taylor´s views on personhood, selfhood and interpersonal recognition. In part three some central issues in Taylor's moral and political theory are discussed, including the nature of his moral realism, his theory of modernity, and his critical appropriation of the liberal tradition.
