political. The volume contains articles based on papers delivered aI the 2019
Entretiens of Institut International de Philosophie (I.I.P.) at the University of
Helsinki, Finland. This annual meeting of I.I.P. was co-hosted by the University
of Helsinki and the Philosophical Society of Finland.
Ilkka Niiniluoto is Academician and Professor Emeritus of Theoretical Philosophy at the University of Helsinki. He is, among other things, a former Rector and Chancellor of the University of Helsinki as well as a Past President of the Philosophical Society of Finland. He is a member of I.I.P. since 1988.
Sami Pihlström is Professor of Philosophy of Religion at the University of Helsinki and the President of the Philosophical Society of Finland, as well as the Chair of the Research Council for Culture and Society at the Academy of Finland. He is a member of I.I.P. since 201 6.
