Experience, Cognition and Morality

The papers in this collection derive from presentations given at the forty-fourth annual colloquium of the Philosophical Society of Finland, which took place in Helsinki on January 23-24, 2025. The event was trilingual for the benefit of all academic philosophers working in Finland today. No unifying theme was selected for the meeting. Instead, the aim was to "bring together the philosophical community in Finland to present a broad range of their sharpest thoughts and newest ideas".

The call resulted in a meeting with presentations on a very wide field of philosophical topics, and the essays in the current volume range from philosophy of time consciousness to the sociopathology of pandemics, and from the nature of logic and mathematics to the ethics and metaphysics of nuclear deterrence.
