On November 8, 2024, a Lithuanian-Finnish history colloquium was organized, the theme of which was Aspects of Everyday Life in Lithuania and Finland in the Early 20th Century. The colloquium was hosted by the Faculty of Humanities of the University of Oulu and the Faculty of History of the University of Vilnius, in cooperation with the Lithuanian Embassy in Helsinki, the Finnish Embassy in Vilnius, Nordost-Institut an der Universität Hamburg, and Donelaitis Society.

The colloquium discussed various aspects of everyday life that affected ordinary people above all. The temporal focus was on the period between the two World Wars, but some presentations also covered the late 19th century or the period after World War II. The scientific articles in this compilation are based on the presentations given at the colloquium. The whole is complemented by a few articles from invited authors.
